If you have full signal then drop try PA and Ant Switch. But I think you will have to reflow your COBBA first to get network rx.

Hiya

U have to resolder COBBA, not to reflow it, then calculate MSID, FAID and etc again with eeprom tools.....

Then test it with wintesla for output signal in RF Controls menu

If still failure, change Cobba.....

Try to find it at our chinese friends...

I use original components from Nokia suppliers...Yes i pay 35 Eur for cobba but when i solder it down i am sure that is working...

A couple of weeks ago i bought 50 pcs of cobba chips from china and they all were f*****... Damn i almost killed my supplier because all cobba were in working condition ( simlock calculate, cobba ID, serial/paralell interface was ok just rf part was broken and i spent 2 days fixing working phones with no signal LOL
So i throw away whole line, all 50 pcs ( same with hagar, ccont and especially antenna switches )

Be careful...

I agree 100% with vule. Best is to replace parts (COBBA, HAGAR, etc.), next is to reball with BGA kit, then reflow is least effective.

I've bought parts from shenzen. Then whole lot of CCONT is not working, so I asked a friend who was travelling back to China to return the lot. He did, and maybe he complained that is why they replaced the lot of CCONT and HAGAR with working ones. I guess you have to make it a point that you will go the extra length and return them dummy parts.

From now on i 'm buying directly from authorized Nokia supplier...Yeah, i pay 35 Eur for cobba, but when i solder it down i'm sure that is working !!!!

And i think that time of cheap service is gone...It's better to charge more and give warranty for repair, instead of listening complaints whole day long....LOL

Think again about time u spending on repairing previously repaired phones......
