3310 very very strange - GSM-Forum

Hi all

I have a 3310 that doesnt pick up signal at all.

I upgraded the software on the fone, and it picked up signal. Then, when i remove the cable after calculating FAID and switch it on, theres no signal whatsoever.

All i do is read the fone with any program, and as long as the cable is connected to the pc it picks up signal. I know it sounds very strange.

I'm not much of a hardware person, but if i'm not mistaken, the com port on the pc does send some power to the fone, so i'm guessing that the fone is lacking some power sumwhere, the question is WHERE ?

Any ideas anyone ?

Hmmm..siganal with cable...?
Try calck faid without SIM card. When this doesn't help, try FAID with log. Ex. Kochi
I think this is a cheksum problem
