if still encounter proble,, flash it with knok and not rolis and then set faid with nokia tool by rolis 1.8

you will have no chance to update FAID for 5210 so easy..use g3n0lite and open your flash file with it and select kill flash check/FAID the save the file..write it to your phone..use rolis 1.9 to update the faid..reset factory settings...the you'll get network

i dont think this should be so..... i repair almost one 5210 daily...and never a problem in FAID update....

kill faid is so that u dont have to update the second time u flash the phone with diffrent mcu/ppm...

killing it for only 1 flash is not usefull,, it is only usefull when doing some r&d in editing a flash file....

what does it do with 5210 flash???

Many times i got no network after flashing a 5210(same problem with 3410, when downgrading) , especialy after flashing with different version. FAID, eeprom rewriting, SFR, imei & oth were no help. Solution tested in more that 10 phones , working from the 1st try. Read original flash with knok_ 2k3 (0x2.. - 0x6... so includind the eep) ... save the file ... open the file (fullflash saved earlier or a fullflash wich doesent have language desired, but for wich u have the ppm same version with desired language) with rolis 4.79 ... split mcu and ppm, load new ppm with desired language (keep the version) update ppm to fullflash ... save the full flash open the new flash with knok 2k3 .. write to u phone and then FAID with rolis 1.8. That's all ...
