7110 v4.94 contact service - GSM-Forum

After unlocking 7110 v4.94 with Dejans' flasher, it was working about two weeks, after what it went to the "contact service".
Backup that I create now (00200000 - 00400000) is the same with the one before unlocking (except changes maked by partial flashing).
The extracted eeprom content (checksum) seems to be in order.
PC Locals reports:
MCU ROM Checksum Test: Failed (error code 1).

Can anyone help?

I have the same problem with a 8210, unlocked 4 weeks before, worked well since yesterday.Now contact service.I think this is not a problem from unlocking,only a normal service problem,because Nokia quality is also going down permanently like quality from other producers.

Caki a da nije kod 7110 fles malo veci od 2Mb pa je tu negde zabrljao?

Fles jeste veci (4 MB) ali ja nisam u startu uradio kompletan backup, nisam ocekivao da je moguce da se desi tako nesto. Problem je u razlici izmedju 16 bitne checksume koja je zabelezena u flesu i one izracunate prilikom butovanja telefona i selftesta. Pitanje je kako izracunati i gde korigovati tu checksumu.

Hi William,
Thanks for the flash you sent me. Although your flash had PPM package version 'A' instead of 'D' (in my case), I have managed to fix 'contact service'. After comparing files, I've found eventual error (1 byte that didn't match)!! After reading the block where the problematic byte was residing, and
it's re-writing to the appropriate value, contact service has dissapeared.
The phone connects to the network normally, can receive and send calls, but works pretty unstable... Sometimes refuses to turn on, it can be reset by simply pressing the button 'no' or 'right soft key' or even by
opening the keys lid. Once, it just went crazy, I couldn't do absolutely anything, I had to do the 'partial flash' method in order to resolve the problem.

l managed to solive the problem by just full flash with the same file that coused the problem and then repair ime and the phone was okay againe so just try this before looking for a backup file.just typ i the oreginal ime of the phone.

Just be aware of your Rom version and flash with the proper files
