6210 Energy Management Calibaration

Hi
Has anyone actually done energy management calibration using the cracked Wintesla? Ive got a 6210 which displays low battery about 5 minutes after been charged. The battery is new. I want to do Energy management Calibration, but iam not sure how to go about doing it. Every time I run it using the cracked DLL's i get a message "wrong battery type".

Thanks

Scaramouche

No way without special hardware ! You might try something else: flash another EEPROM then try again, if problem remains take a look in 6210 service manual for fault ! (Maybe PA faulty)

What special hardware would you need? Not a PKD-1 dongle thats just to run the program, not a FLS-8 thats for flashing. Iam wondering if anyone has actually calibrated a phone with wintesla.

Hiya

I did power management a lots of times without any special equipment...Just cracked wintesla ( no pkd1 ) and serial cable...

If u r sure that battery and phone hardware are ok then just write default factory values for battery and charger...In most cases this will work...When wintesla asks to set voltage to 10V just click ok and do what i said above

When i calibrate charging only i use fast travel charger instead of normal one ( 32 Hz pulses )....

And u can do same with tx part...factory values are ok for most nokia phones..

Ok, correct me if iam wrong...

1) Phone is powered from benchtop power supply - Ive built a service battery using schematics i found on the forum, its the one with the 330ohm resistor between + and the btemp.

2) Connect charger

3) Start wintesla

4) Run calibartion setting power supply to whatever it asks.

Am i right?

Thanks

Hiya

I don't have service battery...Instead of that i use standard NiMh battery and fast travel charger......

Factory defaults will be set to charge and battery even without that. And in most cases it will work 100%....
