you know when you wish you hadnt offered to do something :-? i offered to upgrade my mates 8210 to an 8250 i checked it is a rom 6 with eeprom tools and i had the zip file that g-man uploaded a while ago including instructions and all the necessary files went to write the included flash to the phone using rolis 471 and it stopped and gave an error message at about a quarter of the way through phone wont switch on :evil: ran the laptop in safe mode and it managed to flash it all the way through (i think, didnt say operation complete or anything) then tried using rolis nokia tool 1.5 to update the faid and everthing else but keep getting the error message cannot get phones software or mbus cable error (the cable is fine pure mbus cable and have tried it on 2 computers) managed to read it once in rolis 1.7 read it 8210 v5.02 imei 656565656565654 and if you do *#06# it ???????????????4 please help what can i do to return it to its former glory or continue with the upgrade

I THINK YOU DID NOT UPLOAD 8250 VIRGIN EEPROM,YOU HAVE TO UPLOAD 8250 EEPROM AFTER FLASHING BEFORE YOU UPDATE FAID,OR THE FLASH FILE YOU'RE USING IS CORRUPT

try to use nk_calc to correct the imei.
