I have a lot of 8210 that have the same problem.
I think is a hardware problem but i don't know
exactly what is the problem.
The network comes and then goes down and you need
to reboot the phone.
I use wavetek to check the signal and it shows that everything
is ok, but the problem is there.
Maybe is a problem from the factory.

Hi,
This is a hardware problem in 95% of cases. Losing network signal is cused by:
1- Mecanical problem ( antenna or bad contact )
2- An unslodred RF key components ( See service manual ).
You can solve it easly by testing RF outpouts on RF test point
3- Refresh the software with good MCU nd test all witht wintesla.
good luck
