antenna switch, you can test if faulty.

use sim card from network 900MHz band, then another from 1800MHz band (or any two band). if work on one then not other, your antenna switch fault

antenna switch is just to "switch" between bands

Or simply he can do manualy search for networks, if in he`s area are 900/1800MHz netwrks. But he`s problem is from cobba not from hagar

additional!!!

i also encounter that kind of problem!! yes its true all of your post are correct..
on my opinion do this on step by step basis...
this is just a step by step strategy hope i doesn't get wrong...
in your situation dropping signal but signal comes on and off...
1.)first is reheat PA.. test it... is still dropping...
2.) reheat cobba IC or audio IC... test it... still on / off signal...
3.) replaced the PA or power amplifier... test it.... still on / off signal..
4.) replaced the cobba IC, sp unlock set faid etc.. test it... still no signal....
note:make sure that u use good and working IC/parts..
this solution doesnt work...
nxt time ill post another solution... gud luck mate...

There are some filter capacitors near the antenna switch and hagar.Put some soldering flux with small brush and reheat that area it will be resolved.

Best of Luck
