8250 blank when open sms - GSM-Forum

my 8250 recently become "blank" when open a sms,
all the other function seem working, I can hear the keypad tones and i can power off... I even can delete the sms!!!
it is v5.00 and already upgrade to v5.02 but still the same.
also i already try v5.04 but the same.
checked with self test wintesla --> no failure indication...
reset to factory setting... use eeprom tools to calc faid & update eeprom... still the same...
any idea?

Try to change the display. Use another with NO gold plates.

I have exactly the same problem with my 8210, change LCD solve it 100%, you must use LCD without two little capacitors in the corner.

LCD changed.... now is working fine....
