that technique only works if there's no hole in the frame as mentioned in the service manual? what if there's a hole? it say i have to use battery connector extractor tool to release the snap thru the hole. is there any other tool i can use besides that, because i have no idea how that tool work. thank!

i can assure you that i work on many of these phones every day (i own a repair centre) and never has it been necessary to use a special tool.

if you damage it i can send you a new one for £3.50

"hold the phone and put thumb at the base of the aerial with the battery removed and gently rotate upwards."

so after i remove battery, where do i put my thumb? at the base of the aerial? where is that?

do i put my thumb near where the hole is and rotate anti-clockwise to unlock snap on the right and then do the same to unlock the snap on the left?

sorry for being to annoying because the 8850 i have isnt mine sorry.
