Angry 9210 can not be connected tp PC anymore

Hi, I am new to this forum. I just got a second hand nokia 9210. At first I was able to connect the 9210 to the PC. After a while it crashed and became slow, so I formatted it.

Then I tried to connect again to the PC but the PC could not find the 9210 anymore. Does any one have a clue what might be the problem. (I already tried to uninstall and change COM ports)

Cheers, Jurjen

The 9210's Data-Suite is simply rubbish. I encouter the same problem every time I want to sync my 9210 with my W2K desktop PC.

First ensure that you have latest version of 9210's Data-Suite installed. Otherwise download latest version from Nokia Site and install it.

For me the following steps lead to a successful connection (at least most of the time :-) :
  • Reboot PC.
  • Stop all background processes (i.e. SETI@home).
  • Stop all running Nokia processes via Task-Manager (i.e. Nokia Connection Manager).
  • Start "PC-Suite for Nokia 9210".
  • Check settings (cable-type, com-port, etc.) and try set up connection. Try several times if it doesn't work immediately.
  • If still no connection wait a couple of minutes with phone connected. Sometimes it suddenly connects.

Everyone with better ideas is very welcome :-) ...

Regards,
NSM-1

Smile thxs for your reply NSM-1

Unfortunely your solution did not work. I am planning to bring my 9210 to the repair show where they can flash a new OS on it.

thanks,

Jurjen
