!!! BEWARE OF THE 5210 5.13 FLASH !!! - GSM-Forum

Since the flash (the MCU and PPMs for 5210 version 5.13) can be downloaded from the nOKIA service partner's pages that are no more updated, and it cannot be found on active pages, we think that it is only a fake made directly by nOKIA.

So take care when flashing it to the phone, always make a full backup before any experiments...

Please write here any positive/negative experiences using it.

I made a full backup of 5210 v5.12 PPM E, but when I write it back phone is dead, you probably read my other posts, so the question is what f_loader is right for writing to 5210, reading is 100% ok. We had a same problem with reading 3330 and many people killed their phones. So guys dont make mistakes like I did and help us to experiment and try to solve this problem so you woudnt made same mistake.

Flash Chip: Id: 008988C4 Intel 28F3204C3-T, size 48Mb

Reading 5210: - Intel_16 ( 6,244 bytes )

Writing: - ?????????? ( Maybe 6,180 bytes, but I dont have it please send someone if you have)

I sent you the loader 6176 bytes long, which is in fact the 6180 bytes long file without the trailing 4 checksum bytes. It is targeted for the Intel C2 chips.

Btw, the 8988C4 is a 64Mbit chip, not 48Mbit, as you wrote.

Of course it is, even full backup won't help you.

I tried flashing again with 6,176 f_loader, only that I had to change cfg file to 65 06 so it coud be loaded. But everithing is the same, It writes all ok from 200000-3f0000 and from 460000-600000, but from 3f0000-460000 it writes garbage, why? Did NOKIA made some protectio so the phone can't be partial flashed??? Or is it only f_loader??

But I don't think that flashing with v5.13 flash file can kill the phone permanently if you have the backup to flash back.

Please guys help if you can to solve this problem, Thanx Lead for the f_loader...

Where I can download the Flash for 5210? I know that Nokia is using a 'Full Checksum' method (including SIM Lock checksum) for newer DCT-3 phones, I have original equipments for Nokia, but I don't have the flash file for 5210, I would like to test it first with original equipments (TDF-4 + FPS-4 + ....) then I will post if it works by a Dejan Box. Can anyone give me URL for download the Flash (original Wintesla install format) or anybody can send it to me?

I downloaded Wintesla 5210 flash files from this site:

You can convert them for Dejan flasher with little prog. caled "wt2dejan.exe".
