Can't use Rolis Flasher? (Too fast PC?) - GSM-Forum

Hi!

I was told that I should use Rolis flasher cause my PC is too fast for Dejan Flasher (it's a AMD XP 1700+), but I can't use Rolis either?

I don't remember the exact error message (I'm running Win XP right now, I'm using Win 98 when flashing/unlocking).

Any ideas? Which software do you use when flashing on a fast PC?

You can use Rolis Flasher 4.77 but you have to put the delay time in setup to 1. Worked for me. <img src="biggrin.gif" border="0">

I should have said that I've tried both 1,2,3,4 and 5 - same error...

Try to configure printer port in BIOS! Test with different modes and never under windows xp, it simply doesn´t work. And by the way check your cables <img src="smile.gif" border="0">

I'll try to make some changes in BIOS...

I'm using Windows 98 - not XP. By the way, have anyone an idea of when we'll see a flasher that works under XP? - That would be nice.

My cables work (tried with 3 cables and 2 connectors), I can flash (and read) easily with Dejan Flasher on an older PC, and I can flash (but not read without errors) on my new PC.

Hi to all! I have serious trouble with Rolis flasher 4.77,i try with various settings for printer port and disable /enable cache /this help me in some cases various delay,but result always is error with erasing flash of phone and it will always dead-i try with 6110,5110 nokias. One way to flash phone is use Dejan 1.0,but this program not read flash from phone,but write well,BUT WITHOUT POWER !!!!With power produce errors???? I use Athlon 950Mhz,256Ram and Acorp 7kta1 motherboard with WIN98Se Can anyone explain this??? Regards
