Change the IMEI of a Nokia 5130 - GSM-Forum

Hi,

I am new here.
I searched through the forum but didn't find an answer to my question.
However, I am sure this has been discussed in the past and you will probably able to help me or point me in the right direction.

So, my question is simple :
How can I change the IMEI code of my Nokia 5130 phone ?

I already have a FBUS/MBUS cable bought some years ago here : http://www.mowtrad.com/nokia_cables.html
In the past, I tryed lots of tools to change to IMEI, but none worked.

Which software should work with this kind of cable ?

Once the IMEI is changed, is there any way for the Mobile Operator to know the original IMEI ?

you have to use nokia tool 1.8 and nokia 5110 com cable on win98

After the modification, if the Mobile Operator plug the GSM on a "maintenance unit".
Is there any chance they can discover the original IMEI ?
