Changing incoming sms tone - GSM-Forum

Dear,

Does anyone know how to using hex editor to changing incoming sms ringtone in 8210, I found that the sms ringtone is within the MCU part and the format is diffirent then the tone within the eeprom or the default ringtone part, can I just copy the default ringtone part which start as 02fc till 070b to sms rinftone part?

Anyone know how to prevent ppl copy or bakcup full flash from my modification and flash it to other phone?

do not use Hex editor but you can use Flashtone v.2.05 to changing your alert tone, and PPM manager to Update all PPM,
finished your flash with Nokia tool by Rolis..............
for detail and good methode mail me...........
