Could someone help me with uderstanding Eeprom part in 3310? Please contact me on ICQ 52254313 or email or in forum..

Hello...

EEPROM in 3310, 6210, 8850, 8210 are similar
to EEPROM content of 3210, but of course not
100% the same. You can use Checksum
calculator programs with them like Guar if
you cut the EEPROM into same size as 3210
which is 16KB. You must of course know first
how to cut EEPROM in 003D0000-00400000. The
first checksum is the same with 3210, but the
second checksum is NOT THE SAME Location as
3210. So you can only fix first checksum...
SP-Lock Data is similar to 3210 as well as
first and second IMEI.

[Correction to mistake before]
Some time ago, I said that if you flash 3310
Korea (asia version) with 3310 Finland
(Europe version) flash file to address 00200000-
00300000, you will get animated Hands
start-up logo to your phone... This was a
mistake and this is snot true... Sorry, but
it was just recent that I realized that even
3310 Korea made have already animated hands
start-up logo beginning 4.06 and up! The logo
is obviously found in the EEPROM and can be
disabled and enabled using some HEX editing.
To give you an idea, try to read 003d0000-0040000
of a 3310 with animated hands, save it and
then run Nokia Tool and apply the factory
defaults setting to UI. Notice that you will
loose the animated hands logo. So read again
003d0000-00400000 and compare it with the
original

Maybe someone should make an
animated logo uploader for 3310 even if we
have to manually edit the HEX in the EEPROM.
I think it uses 3 frames like animated GIF.

Hi,
From your post are you saying that by applying the Special Factory Settings (Defualt UI) with Nokia Tool 034 that the animated logo can be removed?
I have a few friends who would like to change their start up logo but can't because of the animated logo.
Does anyone know where I can find info about the uses of all of the other settings in Tool 034

Hi all

Am I on A diffrant planet or have I got hold of the wrong end of this conversation.

X-Shadow is saying when you have removed Animated logo with programs available EG: Logomanager 1.18 you cannot put animated logo back but if you can modify the bytes in Emulated EEprom for animated logo you would be able to put it back.

In other words there is no problem taking it off, and putting any logo on startup screen the problem is putting the sodding thing back
