Member: 8804 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 4 | Flashing all the way!!! I tried something new, at least to me,
I tried reading my 6210 from 0000000~00600000
& then from 01000000~016000000, & guess what, the 0000000 to 00200000 & 01000000 to 01200000 they are not the same, the mcu part & PPM are the same, but the eeprom is not......
now my understanding is that this data is write protected, but now i am starting to think it is virtual not phisical rom. everytime I start the phone, the binary changes, & when doing a search withen this read-only,, i did find the imei & the product code, then when i changed the imei to a new one using tesla, it disapeard from the read-only zone.....
another issue is that the flash is repeated , with minor changes in the following way: 00000000 - 00600000
01000000 - 01600000
02000000 - 02600000 & so on. I did not go all the way, cause go figure how much space that is, but
11000000 - 116000000
is the same, again with little changes. Just a try, maybe some "Brain" will use it.
well the truth is i wanted to post a result but after reading through that bin file over & over again & comparing, i came out with .....Nothing, [ 18 February 2002: Message edited by: NokiDuDe ]
|

Member: 8249 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | Im sure you'll find its not repeated, unless youve been flashing it wrongly.. Can you actually read 01000000 etc? Do you mean 00200000+? If you read past 00600000, then it just reads from 00200000 again if thats what you mean..? Nick [ 18 February 2002: Message edited by: Nick A ]
|
