The card number is randomly generated and so is the pin/activation code assigned to that card number and stored like a checklist on a computer that does the validation for loading/updating of accounts.

Once the existing unused card number and pin/activation key match, that number is automatically marked as used and invalid so further use.

Only way to produce valid numbers for prepaid card is by brute force (generating numbers until both card number and pin/activation key match that of the unused number on the system's check list) which is very impractical.

And there are some providers that will bar your number if you try to top it up that way <img src="smile.gif" border="0"> )))<br />(brute force).

WHO CARES IF THEY BAR THE CARD. THE CARDS ONLY COST AROUND 6 UK POUNDS.

In our country all prepaid cards have same pin code and activation prodecudere. For activation card need dial 3digits. If you intrest you can get info from here <a href="http://www.tele2.lv/en/golden-fish.php" target="_blank">http://www.tele2.lv/en/golden-fish.php</a>

It still needs a valid "password" for the reloading card, granting the activation code is fixed and let's say it's "123".

Once your credit goes down to zero, you have to buy a "reloading card" which contains a "password".

I don't how many digits the password is but just think if it's just 6-digits long (123456).

So in 10 numbers (0123456789) taken 6 at a time, that would be 10*9*8*7*6*5=151,200.

That's at least 151,200 combination of 0 to 9, using it in 6 digits.

So you have a chance of 1 to 151,199 in hitting a valid reloading card number, but you still don't know if it's already used up or not.

In using brute force, by the time you reach 100 tries (or less) your service provider may get suspicious on why their validating computer keeps on reporting a "password already used" or "password accepted" or whatever, with just one GSM number. Your GSM number could then be barred before you even have the chance to use your "reloaded" account.

If ever you got lucky and have several hits of valid "passwords", you still can't use it on other GSM numbers since it was already logged by the system as used.
