Nokia 8800 white screen - GSM-Forum

hello everyone I am new to this forum and I want to say that it's amazing that people like all off you are helping each other with their problems. I have worked in a company called Teleplan in Holland and I have also done some repairs on mobile fones.

I don't know if this is the right place to start my topic, because I have a nokia 8800. The problem with this mobile is that when I turn on the phone I only see my screen go white. I hear everything and it seems that the mobile phone is working correctly, accept for my screen. I have opened up the phone to see if the connectors where in place but this still did not resolve my problem.

I think that this problem is caused by the software but I am not sure of this. I also don't have the abbillity to flash my phone so that's why I want to ask you members if this problem has been known to you. I this is the case would you be so kind to tell me how I can repair it.

hello,

i had an 8800 also with only white screen. i changed the lcd and problem was solved, i dont know i problem was lcd itself or flex cause i changed the hole module with slide and lcd mounted.

flash the phone with latest firmware.dont downgrade it..
