Red face Help to connect data cable to notebook throught USB

I have notebook Compaq Presario 1700 with 2 USB prots, 1 LPT port. I want use Nokia’s data cable to connect to Internet. I trying USB-RS232 converter USB->COM 25 and data cable build on MAX232. No results. Converter and data cable tested and 100% working separate: with converter working external modem, mouse; Nokia’s data cable working on other computer with physical COM’s. I use Nokia Data Suite ver. 1.17.
Please help me!
Casper

Nokia data Suite 3.0 always want to have
physical serial port not virtual, cause it
access FIFO regs. direct and uses own serial
driver.
Try update to 3.1 may be it will be better
in this version.
