Help a Newbie - 5210 Connections - GSM-Forum

Trying to unlock a 5210 under Windows XP (though i do have access to one with '98 on - i know XP can be fussy with COM ports)

Picked up an F/M (switched) bus data cable, rigged it up to a COM port, but whatever software i use (Rolis, XP Mobile, EepromTools) refuses to see that it's connected at all. I've tried having a quick play with UserPort, but to be honest, have no idea what i'm doing.

Any help at all would really be appreciated. This is really beginning to piss me off and, to be perfectly honest, i really haven't got a clue how to get it to recognise the phone.

Try again with win98 pls and check your CMOS BIOS setup: set I/O address as 378 (parallel port:378), or check your cable it'll ok.
