I cant Flash my Nokia 7110..i dont know how.. - GSM-Forum

Hi
I need help upgradeing my nokia..dont know what program i need and what flashfile i need..
i have dl a file called "Nokia 7110 v5.01 Full" and i guess this is the file to use..But, i run winXP and i dont know what program to use when i should flash the damn thing..
PLZ help me out..

first you should use userport. this is for port relating. for flashing use rolis 478b6.you can find some soft at my homepage. in rolis choose correct mobile (7110). switch phone off and connect flasher cable. then choose flash-write. pick the flash file and hit open. then press ok. now when the program asks you to hit power button, hit it shortly. PS. before flashing you have to (for your own purpose) read the bacup flash. just hit flash-read. the file you are flashing should be withought eepprom... or you get new imei, sec. code etc. and all names and messages in the phone memory gone. if the file is with eeprom then the filesize is 4mb but if it's not then the file size is less than 4 mb. now after flashing you have to update faid. use nokia tool by rolis 1.8. turn the phone on and connect mbus, then press in rolis update faid or you're phone won't find network. now it shold be ok. if not do factory reset with nokia profile 1.1.7. and if something goes wrong and phone won't work after, then just flash backup back to phone.
