Insert card problem! - GSM-Forum

Hi,
I have some problem with a 8210, it works only with Simcards from one certain Network and with all the others it says INSERT CARD, the card is of course inside the card holder but it can not read it!
Has anybody had this problem before?, I think it has to do with different Voltage of the simcards but it used to function normally, there were some sign of water damage on the phone, can anybody give me a clue?
unfortunately my knowledge about repairing hardeware is very restricted, i just hope it is some software problem

I had 8210 v5.30, phone at once doesn't accept any sim card (insert sim)
I made full flash with 5.31 firmware and phone work fine now

I flashed the Phone again but the problem is still the same, it had software 5.31 and i tried it with 5.29 but it din't help.
any other ideas?

Hello,

it's probably from the water. open the phone and clean the sim holder and the all the circuit under it with alcohol.

Yes I think its probably a hardware problem...
