Talking Knok - problems

Hi!

When trying to use any of the commands which uses the MBUS-cable I get the following errors. I'm using Windows XP, and have no problems flashing.

Any ideas?

Ehh, knok works just fine under Windows XP - what do you mean you don't believe it?

I'm having problems when using the functions that DOESN'T use the flasher-cable, but uses MBUS.

Hi laxxe,

Window XP don't works on the Flasher. this is due to the transmittion rate which is totally different from Window 95/98/ME.
Its works fine for the serial port. So that is what the cause of it.

Regards
Alan

Hi!

It's probably because The OS is blocking the COM... Or maybe it's because XP uses some different code for openening COM, sending commands, etc... I'm only guessing here...

Cheers.

I thought Knok was called "XP compatible"? Can any of you guys get the MBUS to work under XP (in Knok). I can use EEPROM Tools from B-Phreaks without any problems... (Well, I have to push the button twice, but I'm not the only one with this bug...)

Nutzo:
I've already tried both of my COM-ports... And EEPROM Tools 3.0 works just fine.

Has anyone got Knok to work with COM-ports under XP?

hey,

I just can't see what are you using kNok for.
Well, Nutzo, please explain what your program is good for.
I can not catch the point.
Maybe porting it to linux - user-friendliness just like mygnokii )

Otherwise laxxe, get a reliable bootdisk with a format.com and in harder cases an fdisk.exe on board, that will solve all of your problems.

(well, you may be angry now, but after several months of problems, you will agree with me )

Best Regards
