Minimum requirements?

Hi!

I wonder how "low" I can go with hardware.

I'm planning to buy a laptop:
black and white LCD/486 33 Mhz/4Mb RAM/win 95

Is there any software that DON'T work with that config?
Planning to use it for flashing and unlocking and so on...

Happy for answers today..

It doesn't matter what kind of monitor you use (wheter B/W or color), i think.
Attention, I have Notebook P166, 32 MB RAM, 2 GB HDD, but some soft doesn't work with it, special flashing (reading and writing EEPROM,...), so be careful, dont buy Notebook for unlocking and flashing, it needs Desktop PC (from P100>) and suite soft.
I have these experiences

Question Rolis DCT3 problem with Pentium3???

hi,

i have a question:
i have a notebook Dell Latitude Pentium 3 running under Win98 and with 256MB of RAM.

I having problem when i try to read flash from my 8250 phone, the error asking me to check cable, contact, or phone model.

But, I did the samething on my 3310, everything OK?!
AND, I did the same phone 8250, same cable, on my DESKTOP PC, everything OK.

So, I believe it is not cable or phone or software or setting(i checked all configuration in bios and setup) problem.

I think it is my notebook problem....

Anyone encounter this problem, if yes, how can i solve it.?????

Please help.

NOTE: Anyone try flashing using Pentium 4 system (desktop or notebook) yet ?
Tz.

Minimum requirements : Intel Pentium 200 MMX with 32 MB RAM.
Maximum requirements : Intel Pentium II or III with maximum CPU speed 300 Mhz (???!!!) why?

My experiences : Faid Calculator (using MBUS) not working at speed 350 Mhz or higher. so I have to down speed to 300Mhz and Faid Calculator Work 100% for N3310-3315-3330-3350, N8210.

But for AMD Processor K6-2/450Mhz there is no problem, Faid Calculator (using MBUS) work 100% for N3310-3315-3330-3350, N8210.

I use a Sony Vaio Lap Top 900MHZ and 10GB HD I use windows ME all the flashing and unlocking stuff works on it. My advice is to use a pc instead because Lap Top/Note books dont have that much Hard Drive space they come with Approx 15GB as most Pc's come with 20GB+ and you can always upgrade them were as top Top upgrades, well it's chepper to buy a new one than upgrade one.

used to use dell P166 desktop, 32MB ram, 1GB HD; flashed all phones fine (in the days you had to flash to unlock!).
now use P233 desktop, 98MB ram, 3GB HD; no problems to date
Always used win98 with no problems (sometimes first edition sometimes second).
for flash files, get them on CD and copy to desktop when needed!
