Member: 4122 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 4 | Hi, I had a 4 locks closed version. Could unlock it only 'the old fashion' way. Made a flashfile from the original WT flashes. Then used the KOCI logger with the Faid program from Drill. That was the only thing that worked. All the other tools (EEpromTools 3, NK_calc, logger etc didn't work) Hope it works for you also.... Goodluck |

Member: 7939 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 2 | Now having done one today I had to same problem 4locks closed after just pressing the def lock's on neelix, but after I pressed the or ticked all the boxes and opened them again, so you might want to try factory set, default eeprom vaules and faid as well. the phone is now 100% working |

Member: 4408 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 5 | using eeprom tools by bphreaks... yes you can use this tool with 9210 mbus cable... Unlock & repair 4 locks as well as change imei using eeprom tools 3.01 by bphreaks... The secret to those who have experience on trying this will never be successful unless you use a modified battery that will make the front panel display to power on... but the inside display must be off... yes the voltage (?v) of the battery will do it... if you're willing to try... but for me... I TESTED IT and works 100%... |

Member: 871 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 602 | ????? Special battery BLB-3B for RAE-3x is only used for flashing in Wintesla. This diasables EPOC (PDA Side) to boot up normally and display only "Test Battery"... For changing IMEI repair 4-locks closed, do not use nk_calc because this will not work with ROM1 phones like 9210. So you must used Bphreaks 3.01 only to repair and unlock these phones. Special service battery not needed, because we are not trying to flash it! Only use MBUS that works with Bphreaks software, boot up phone PDA and the CMT, connect MBUS cable and repair your phone. That is all. For those of you trying to flash 9210, there is a cheaper way of getting service battery. All you need is an extra battery for the 9210, remove the JAPAN Cells inside, make sure that you do not destroy the circuit for the VBAT, BSI, BTEMP and GND. Connect external 3.6v to VBAT and GND in replacement for the 3.6v Japan Cells that you removed... Best Regards, X-Shadow |

Member: 8102 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 118 | Okay, I have two Super Moderators with conflicting info @X-Shadow So all I do is leave the PDA shut, turn on the phone, stick a 9210 MBUS Cable and press the padlock on Eeprom Tools 3.01 ? Also can you change the IMEI No this way? Thanx PS What is CMT? Last edited by Seedy; 05-20-2002 at 01:37. |

Member: 4408 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 5 | Not conflicting actually... X-Shadow initially confirmed it to me this process, but no idea regarding the battery, I borrowed Service battery from a auhtorized Nokia Service Center here (not to mentioned any name, huh)... He (X-Shadow) told me to use mbus & soft by b-phreaks... and all works fine. I hope this thread will help those attempting to unlock & repair imei on a 9210. Now I'm finding a "dummy" or non-original battery for 9210 to make my own service battery... That will be all... |

Member: 871 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 602 | Hmmmm... If you only need to unlock or repair IMEI, you need not build service battery! I am 100% sure on this... Like I said, service battery is only for flashing phones or for tuning with Wintesla. If your MBUS does not work with Bphreaks software, then you should buy CHINA data cables and short TX and RX of MAX232 and connect it to MBUS of phone, also connect GND of MAX232 to GND of phone. For MBUS commands to work, you need only to boot the PDA part of the 9210, YOU DO NOT NEED TO BOOT THE CMT PART OR THE TELEPHONE PART OF THE 9210!!! Try it yourself you will see what I mean. CMT = Cellular Mobile Telephone PDA = Yeah, you know what this means RE: Service Batteries... I am using original Service batteries BBL-3B for RAE-3 + SCH-12 Data Leads... But this is for FLS-4 device! FLS-4 has a 10-pin RJ-45 connector with 3.6v on PIN 1... This 3.6v goes to the VBAT and GND of the Battery (PIN1 and PIN4 of BBL-3B). Now if you want to make a Service Battery for 9210, you can do so by buying 9210 replacement battery and remove the JAPAN CELLS inside. Check the rating of the Japan Cells, it is also 3.6v Replace the Japan Cells with 3.6v DC from FLS-4 pin 1 (3.6v)... But, using a "FAKE" service battery will not display "Service Battery" in the PDA side, but this is ok and can be used for flashing if you have and FLS-4 or compatible device (Neelix 1 ???)... RE: 9210 still DCT-3 ??? Yep 9210 and 9210i are still DCT-3 phones... (DCT-3 Linda <-- Linda is the PDA side of phone)... The flashloader for this phone is the same for some 3310 phones. 9210 is ROM1 so you cannot use nk_calc with this or else you will get 4-locks closed!!! RE: Why cant I flash 9210 with regular Dejan Box 1.02??? Because EPOC side in 9210 boots up immediately after you put on the battery to the phone and Dejan proggy cannot load the boot loader properly. How to make it work??? Hmmm.... I don't know but I think it is still possible if you try to modify the VB source of ICE Dragon's Win32 Flasher software... Or maybe if you can prevent EPOC from loading by using a "FAKE" service battery and connecting VBAT to BTEMP of DEJAN 1.02... I really dont know if this works... as far as I know, you just need the proper sequence to propoerly load the BOOT LOADER to the 9210... If many people are interested, I can put up pictures showing the Original Service Battery and the Modified Service Battery so you can make your own... But I guess only a few people here owns 9210s so this might not be usefull at all... Best Regards, X-Shadow |

Member: 11099 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 5 | Pinouts Hi guys Can anyone provide me with the pin out for the 9210?? Are they the same as the 9110?? So to unlock I simply make M2-bus cable and use B-freaks eeprom tools and Unlock. I will post my result here, after I have constructed cable. |
