Member: 4977 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | New software version I've been away for a week or so and seem to have missed something. Before I went, everyone was talking about the 'new' software versions and how they had to be unlocked in a different way due to extra checksums or something like that?? Can anyone help me out on this and give me a simple explanation of what the situation is with this please? I would also like to know which phones and software versions & dates are affected if possible. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me. Sarge |

Member: 4172 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | 17/09/01 - INFORMATION : The flash cables can't unlock newest nokia phones and put into contact service mode. Models affected by this are just starting to filter through to the market place now (4/9/01) but roughly are 6210 v 5.17 (late models), 8210 v 5.28 (late models), 3310 v 4.50, 3330 v 4.30 I don't try it yet |

I think so, that your partial doesn't work with the newest 527.... jrd |

Member: 3069 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | So what a disaster! Now each time we receive 8210 5.28 we will have the doubt... "would it be newer or older?" It's obvious we cannot stay this way! Is there any solution for these phones? It seems partial flashing will soon be history... Best regards. |

There is some new stuff in the software section but it might as well be old stuff as I do not know what it is I require. Regards Sarge [ 22 October 2001: Message edited by: Sgt. Banjo ]
|
