Hello,
farry have you solution for this problem??
I have tried many modified flasher (thanks the help to Lead, U R great man, really) but I got always error message. I got "Phone not respond Load Boot data" and "Boot tx error" etc.
I have also tried many many BIOS option (EPP, ECP, Bidirectional), no result.
Meet somebody with this prob.? What is wrong? My notebook is wrong or the LPT in the notebook?
What can I do? I can't understand this, because I read the phone with windows flashDownLoader, but can't with Dejan...Who can understand this?
I have tried the cable on another PC, it's worked. I have tried another phone, of course Dejan doesn't work, Nokiaflash Downloader worked fine.
The trouble is that this flash downloader can't upload, because it would be easy. I try tomorrow the NU2000 but I think what will be the result.

btw, I wait for somebody, who can help me
thanks in advance
dsl

Hey, it's simple
New Latops use often 3,3 Volt, just use USB or PS2 Port, both have 5 Volt DC supply, just connect + 5 Volt to Pin 14 from 74HCT14, and thats it's.

This problem is not so simple that there is only one possible solution!

The first thing to do is always to check the parallel port settings, however different computers need different settings. (I have a **free** sample of my eBook available on my website and it has a detailed section on setting up the parallel port.)
Lead is correct about the mod for Compaq.
The external power mod can make a difference, but that doesnt always work, and sometimes it works for some phones but not others. If you check the available power at the port, you will see that on some notebooks it is higher in some modes than others.
I have experienced a couple of Thinkpads that I have never been able to get to work succesfully despite many hours of trying.
