No names displayed in 7110
 

Hi, my N7110 4.88 is not able to display the caller's name if Phone phonebook is selected. Only the number is shown, even though the number is in the phonebook. Is there any way to fix it?

I cannot change the soft version (I could flash it, but cannot calculate FAID <img src="frown.gif" border="0"> ).

check the phonebook, you myt have doubled the name and number in the sim and phone memory...

Thanks for the hint, but entries from the phonebook only are not identified either. If I choose SIM phonebook as active, everything is fine. It must be something else...<br />Does SW rest (Nokiatool) or Settings/default settings delete the SMS folders? Could a reset help?<br />******z

Have you think to update your software with right version maybe....it may help....but do not forget to ta a copy of your phone before!!!

Thanks; updating is now an option, thanks top bRAd. But lead said something about 4,88 and 5.01 having incompatible eeproms. What version can I flash 4.88 to?<br />******z

it's pmm is corrupt... use nfree to check.. any maybe it can be repaired..

FLASH EEPROM CLEAM FLS, 00590000 START ADDRESS IT WORKS MOST OF THE TIMES

you have double entries...in your phonebook and sim, use logomanager to check so that it would be easier on you..

Problem solved! Formating eeprom from 590000 did help. Now names and number type icons are displayed correctly (provided they are not duplicated in the phone phonebook).<br />Thank you very much!

Now my bro hates me for cleaning his sms archives! Oh well, some casaulties are necessary...<br />******z

I had the same problem whit mine... but when I updated the software to 5.01 it was over !
