Nokia 2100 with contact service problem - GSM-Forum

Hi everybody

I have serveral problems with my Nokia 2100 phone, which is only 15 months old...I want to know if other people do have the same problems like me.

When I am charging the phone and the battery is fully loaded, the phone will shut down. That's no problem but every time when that happens I have to set time and date again. Every time....That is very annoying.

The second problem is the "contact service" message. I can't use my phone at all!

I went to a Nokia servicepoint, but they can't help me (or they don't want to, I don't know). I have to pay €75,00 and they will send it to Nokia for me. That will take 3 to 4 weeks! They don't have a replace-phone for me, so I can't make a phonecall for 3 weeks!

I want to know if there are people with the same problems, and what was the answer which Nokia gave to you? I really want know....

hello actually its a software problem,it need 2 re program the unit!

OK tanks for your post. Which software is corrupt than? Is it in the startup software or something? Can I flash it myself? Or is it something that only Nokia can do? By the way they told me at the Nokia store that there was a component which was not connected to the printbord anymore

I don't think that is the problem...I think also it's in the software...

conect phone in twister box (dctx tools by sarasoft) and flashing phone, check info,if v. is o5.78 try high virjan 05.84 put nam in MCU and PPM and flashing.

your problem is software u net to go and reprogramme d phone i mean flashing it

erase flash and 5.78 mcu+ppm+good pmm(attachment)+rebuld imei+full factory reset...good luck...regards
