Member: 213663 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 0 | Nokia 3310 no reception I've got problem with my phone - nokia 3310. After brief search i realized that finding solution can take some time. I am sure that the answer is out there somewhere as it was reqested countless times. As mobile hacking is quite far from my proffesion i figured that i should ask more knowlegable first. I will try to give as many details as possible. Hope that one of you will know what is going on and can point me to the answer. The problem: Nokia 3310 ( V05.13 11-01-02 NHM-5 ) - I got the phone about a week ago (second hand). At first it worked. Then the day after i looked at it and realized it lost coverage. SwitchOff >> basic dissassebly (battery, facial, and sim card) >> light smash on the floor >> reassembly -- helped to regain it. Phone was working fine while it had coverage - voice and text communication worked bothways. Sim card worked well on other phones. Unfortunately reception losses happened again over the next few days. SwitchOff-Smash-SwitchOn tactic worked well for it. At that point I started playing with it: 1)I noticed that antena cover was a bit loose - but thought it probably has no meening as i could still talk even after shaking the phone. 2)While it could not get coverage - i could still go to : Settings>>Phone settings>>Network Sellection>>Manual - and see a list with all the available networks including mine ( bt cellnet - o2). It would not let me connect though. At that point I got preety angry at it and started smashing it all over the place wchich resulted in breakage of one of the small hatches next to the antena. It wass still attached and in it's position. I secured it in it's place. Phone still switches on but cannot connect to network - this time permanently. eekhem. I am looking forward to your reply and apologize for typos. Paul |
