did you update the faid?

or, it is possible that the antenna connector has a loose contact.

it is useful to activate netmonitor and under test 01 you can see if the phone is searching for a network. when the signal is very low (a value of 100 up in netmon) the signal level drops.

a netmonitor manual would be helpful in this situation.

hi. b4 doing anyting in the hardware, you must be sure that the software is ok. If you repaird a contact service unit and after doing it you will get a full signal and drop after a few secs. Try this:
1.flash the mcu+ppm+eeprom and after that use
2.knok-phoenix to change imei and quick set faid and use
3.Nk profiles to set default. When using nk profile when you click the set defaults all the button must blink.
Hope it works if not try changing the 36mhz crystal osc and PA.(for 3310,82xx & 8850)

Good luck.....

Reheating boards

It is best to use a liquid flux when you reheat any board.
This helps the solder to flow in areas where there are dry joints.

There is a flux available from CPC Electronics

GUYS !!!

Do not reheat any components ! Bigger chance is that u will **** them than fix them..

Take it off , make new balls ( or use new component with factory made balls - best solution ) and solder it back.

Flash good firmware+virgin eeprom, restore original IMEI, recalculate simlock data and FAID ( with eeprom tools ) and then use REPAIR IMEI option in eeprom tools ( very important ).

If failure remains use wintesla: file - open - NHM5 ( for 3310, just example ) - RF controls ...

Check TX radio button on window appeared, select TX power level 5 instead of BASE, click apply and close ur phone to monitor ( u should see distortion on screen of monitor if PA, antenna switch and cobba are OK.

If still no RF signal it could be 26 MHz clock or something else..

U can use this procedure for diagnostic also...

As u can see no NOKIA expensive equipment involved LOL
