PPM Edit PLEASE HELP!! - GSM-Forum

hi, i change my operator name in ppm edit on a 3310 v 5.13 fls file. from cellent in the u.k to the words prince build. i then save the flash file. open up ppm manager and update all ppm crcs. i then reflash the file to the 3310 update faid. unlock and reset factory settings.
now the phone resets constantly without no signal!
please help me and tell me the correct proceedure!

You did everything correct.

But you always have to update FAID after you modify the flashfile.

Use Rolis tool, or Nokia Tool by jordik 3.21 to update FAID.

You need a normal m/fbus cable to do this.

i did set faid mate but it still resets! i must of done something wrong!

i reflashed it all now. reset faid with rolis tool 1.8 and it gets the operator name. ity then disapears then resets a few seconds later! someone please help me!!

come on. is there anyone out there that knows how to help me? im sat here looking at a phone that constantly resets but i want it to work with this logo.

Try to download 3310 v5.55, and do the changes in those files instead. (you can use Rolis to convert and combine wintesla files).

hi, il try that and see if that works! why will it not worth with my flash file though i have now v 5.13?

tried with a diff flash but still same results! arghh anyyoing! someone out there must no! please help!

try to open your flash in nfree12 then see if your MCU is okey... then if not, correct your MCU...

no matter what 3310 flash file i use it still resets. even if use nfree still wont work when checksums are corrected. i heard maybe some extra checksums wrong that it cant find or correct?

have you tried already using a 3310v557 flash and also a virgin eeprom? and better check with EepromTools31 or wintesla then run self test..

as for modified/custom flash files. u need to use dejan box or faid by tek or faid*******. than's why u don't get signal. i don't think nk_calc or rolis will work...

btw, don't use 3310 v 5.03 or 3310 v5.13.
