Problem with 8210, it says Insert sim card even when its inserted - GSM-Forum

Ive tried unlocking it.
ive used nk tool and the first 2 locks are closed.
even when a simcard is in the phone it says please insert simcard?

Does anyone know the problem?

u unlock those 2 locks? with flash cable? 'cause with data cable won't work

unlock the two locks using dejan flasher or jethro or nu2000 using flasher interface... will solve ur problem i think..

Ive tried using a partial flash to unlock it with dejan, but it still says insert sim card.
ive unlocked loads of phones and ive never had this problem.
After flashing it I tried it again with nktool and the top two locks are still closed.

Just flashed it again and now these locks are open but the phone still says insert simcard no matter what simcard i try to put in.

I think your problem is the Sim Reader of the phone , when a phone is Network Locked you normally get the foll message "insert correct card"
