f***ing random MSID!

I have another problem guys... Very strange. I have this 8210 that ALWAYS shows another MSID every time you restart the phone! I'm going bananas here! What to do?
I tried full flash, eeprom (original&virgin), faid, imei change, factory reset, all the worx. Is there a special trick to it? There's no network either.

Hey Fantom... It can't be a hardware problem. Phone worked fine before the flash. I don't think changing software can damage hardware. Anyway, sometimes i get network. And then i can call as long as i want. But as soon as i end the call, signal drops again. Must have something to do with the MSID...

Hi Dennis,

All DCT3 phones after 3210 have different MSID after SW reset. Don't worry this is normal.

For you problem you have to make sure that after every decoding of the MSID you have one and the same CobbaID. You can check that with eeprom tools - bottom status bar.

If the value is 00000000 or changes - this must be faulty cobba or broken ball.

Most probably you have a intermidiate HW fault. Try to reset all settings to factory - this might help if diff than HW problem.

Thanks BR! Already tried factory resetting a dozen of times, but i'll try it again. Is it normal that sometimes i have reception just when the phone starts (5-10 seconds) and that i can make perfect calls then? Until I terminate the call, then signal drops again. Forever.

A little piece of paper under the Cobba did the trick... Works like a charm. Thanks all! Case closed.
