Here is solution which u can change start-up & shut-down tone in some of the nokia dct-3 phones with it! (soon other phones will be added)... -U must have a HEX EDITOR installed like Hex-Workshop or Cygnus Hex Editor (Cygnus sw is the best & fastest hex editor) -Open the Phone Flash File (MCU+PPM) with hex editor -Go to the phone's tone start address (here is addresses): 3310 NHM-5 6.08 Start/ShutDown Tone Start Address (Lenght:36 bytes): 11BE3E 8210 NSM-3 5.30 Start/ShutDown Tone Start Address (Lenght:36 bytes): 1364DE 8210 NSM-3 5.31 Start/ShutDown Tone Start Address (Lenght:36 bytes): 13674D 8250 NSM-3D 5.04 Start/ShutDown Tone Start Address (Lenght:36 bytes): 12DC71 8290 NSB-7 5.15 Start/ShutDown Tone Start Address (Lenght:36 bytes): 12C855 8850 NSM-2 5.31 Start/ShutDown Tone Start Address (Lenght:36 bytes): 136D85 8890 NSB-6 1220 Start/ShutDown Tone Start Address (Lenght:36 bytes): 131721 -Change the tone to your own tone or this (This is 3315 6.08 Tone): C0 46 C0 00 02 FD 40 05 02 84 02 40 02 8D 0F 40 02 9D 02 9E 2A 9D 05 9C 02 9B 05 9A 02 0B C0 02 06 0A FE 0B -Calculate Checksums with NFREE (or new NokHEX) -Write flash to phone -Claculate faid with Logger (I think if u calculate checksums with new NokHEX u can calculate faid with ANY CALCULATOR) -Enjoy  |

I have a solution for it which is 100% worked for me: -After changing flash (add startup tone),do not calculate checksums with ANY SW,and run ROLIS flasher 4.78 and select "Write Flash" and open flash,then ROLIS SW told that the flash checksums not correct and ask you to calculate checksums,if u accept that,after writing flash to phone,FAID CAN BE CALCULATED WITH ANY FAID CALCULATOR!!! Otherways,if u have another solution,share it... thanks |

Member: 10943 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 1 | You can use PPMManager (Update all ppm crcs) and make new MCU&PPM with ROLIS flasher. flash your phone with the new ppm+mcu . you can use ROLIS flasher or windls,,, Best Regards. |

But do you remember before a lot of months when i first post here how to change every factory tone? the only problem i had then (december 2001 ) was the faid calculation but with log calculator the problem solved.Now august 2002 you are saying about solutions and cracked flashtone programms |

Member: 7653 Status: Offline Thanks Meter: 823 | yep, late last year i had hex values of each tone note (pitch/length etc), replaced factory tones with hex editor etc, text strings without ppm manager, menu animations with nokhex first version; find your own offsets using winarm... infact i even saw solution for startup/shutdown tone on here a few weeks back, not ***solution by vsh-gsm**** |
