Unhappy Some problems with my Nokia 8810

My nokia 8810 is 8 months old. I bought it in UK. My major problem is that the phone switches off automatically from time to time especially when making a call.Sometimes it switches off after turning it on. The chrome casing is also faded; is there a replacement casing? I also cannot use a feature of my menu driven sim card in this phone; an additional entry is supose to be displayed in the phone menu.

The whole unit shuts down and not just the LCD so it must be the board. What could possibly be wrong with the board? Loose solder or defective component?

Hi philipal

MDR is right if LCD display loses connection to driver IC then the whole unit will shut down same with Ericssons. Clean the display and elastimer with Alcohol and reassemble

Regards

Charlie
