startup logo on 8890 - GSM-Forum

It seems that one of the important differences between the 8850 and 8890 is that the 8890 doesnt allows (till now) changing the startup logo (not even with latest LogoManager).
I am very interested with any solution dealing this ... Please feel free to mail me directly on this topic

get nkprofile from the net. set the phone to defaults. then change the start up using the latest logo manager

Thx, but I want to ask you if nkprofile works through IR ? Because I got some file but it doesnt seem to work for me at all.

hEYA, ME AGAIN!
In order for nkprofile to work it has to be in the LogoManager's folder.
However with nkprofile workin' , I can't change the StartupLogo for my 8890

Any other idea?

you need an fbus cable for it to connect.

just restore defaults using NKprofile

I dont get your point. Logomanager offers the same functionality through IR as through fbus cable. I use LM with infrared connection and all the other functions work just fine. More than that: when I try to upload a new startup logo to my 8890, the phone has a the same weak "beep" sound as when it succeeds to change any other logo (buut nothing is changed when I reboot the phone).
It seems to me that the 8890 has some kind of protection against changing the startup logo.
Be more specific please: Have you ever seen a 8890 with the startup logo changed that way, with fbus cable?
