Quick question, if i flash a 3310 with a full flash 20000 - 40000 will this upgrade the softwear or is it a bit more complicated than that ?

hi, THE ANSWER IS 100% YES!!! Because if you do that, flashing your phone from 20-40 then you have to throw your phone away, you can then buy another phone with a newer version <img src="biggrin.gif" border="0"> Regards meam <img src="wink.gif" border="0">

ok so how do you upgrade a software version ? I've downloaded a 2mb flash file that says its for a 3310 from 200000 to 400000 whats all that about ?

flashing any Nokia phone from 20 to 40...including the EEPROM section will kill the phone for ever....so if you dont know what is MCU and PPM ,PMM and EEPROM...so please dont play with that flashes and flash cable until you get more knowledge...Nokia is not Alcatel or Siemens to play with and update in the same manner

Ok point taken. Is there one definative place where i can read up and learn about ppm's etc. Please i'm keen to learn
