Question What does all this mean?????

I have just started unlocking a few phones and now I want to learn how to change PPM & MCU and I'm not bothered if I kill a few phones in the process!! However there appears to be a lot of technical jargon around which I do not understand, such as Checksums, FAID, etc.

Is there a site anywhere which explains all this jargon or can anybody help to explain. Also are they any sites where I can download the software from such as NFree, Wintesla, etc.

Thanx to everybody in advance

www.cellularbase.co.uk is my website
It has all the soft (Rolis, partials, etc) you need and a unique guide to using the Rolis flasher software with step-by-step guides to unlocking, backing up, changing mcu/ppm (explains about FAiD too!)...
Is this the kinda info your looking for?
