Unlocking 3310's with EEPROM Tools - B-PHREAKS

I have managed to succesfully UNLOCK 8 nokia 3310's with EEPROM tools. They all work perfectly. So why is there all this fuss with flashing them when all you need is an M2BUS cable?

Oh yeah you can even unlock 3310 v5.03 and 5.11 with this software too.

Actually. U flash all SIEMENS mobiles to unlock em. I jus thought it wud b easier not to flash them but to restore original SP values via the EEPROM. Obviously Nokia people like to risk their fones while unlocking....so go ahead "FLASH" the ROM3 f*ckers... dont use EEPROM tools....do it the hard way

Sorry, but I didn`t mean what you understand. I meant you are too late! People already using mbus method for unlocking Nokias but still, partial flashing is an old good method that is safer than mbus method. With partial flashing you have a choice to return phone back to its original state but with eeprom tools you don`t have!!!

I just make joke, don`t be angry!

Flashing will still be required occassionaly when you are asked too repair a badly flashed phone, but the newer program by Dejan by datacable will obviously now replace the older programs.

I still do not see the fuss you mention, do you not use a better program when it becomes available?

We still HAVE TO FLASH when we need to repair a corrupted phone or repair a bad flash.

We still HAVE TO FLASH when we want to add a new language pack to a phone or do our own Firmware upgrade.

For plain old unlocking, we have been using MBUS methods you mention.

You seem to have read new posts about how to unlock, then gong back to find all the old post about partial flashing and thought the new method is the partial flashing and the old method is the mbus one
