Post where is IME stored ???


Is IME information stored in EEPROm 24c128 (6150)??? So if you made a wrong flash, and now IME is different, in witch chip is stored this information???

Hello,<br />The imei is in 24c16.<br />But new phones the eeprom is emulated in the flash<br />in a special area and you can reprogram it.(dangerous take backups <img src="smile.gif" border="0"> <br />And in phones like 5110 and so te eeprom exists phys.<br />and sometimaes with wrong flashing or mbus cable you can damage the imei.it happens to me twice

So if I change eeprom from one phone to another, then I would get new IME on both phones? Would they work, because if you flash to wrong part of eeprom you get different IME but no signal ???

you cannot change the original imei.only *#06#<br />so the phone isn't going to work when you load the eeprom data to another phone.

Hi, if you want change IMEI, you must write flash,<br />eeprom data from other phone and also change COBBA<br />chip, so you have to loose one phone to repair<br />another,no clones!!!<br />Osvaldas
