WTD: help Reagrding Flasher Kit and lpt Port, Does not recognise it on my new compute - GSM-Forum

Ive jsut got a new computer and ive unlocked 100's of phones before on my old one, My new one however an Advent pc, does not work with my flasher kit.

I have Windows ME, is there any way to make it work with my system, are there specific lpt port settings?

Yes there are LPT must be set op EPP 378

thanks for the reply, can you explain how to do this, I have gone to my system settings and on the lpt port i have input/output range 0378-037F

is this correct? if so what else could be the problem.

you need to change your ltp mode in bios menu

okay, ive just tried all that and it is still not working,

i get phone not respond, boot count error.

Ive tried all different floaders, different cables, different phones, all the same.

Does it have anything to do with Windows ME, im using dejan v1.00b. is there one that works with ME?

What the CPU you have? I have the AMD Duron and Dejan Flasher dont't work on it. I think this prublem is in CPU structure :-( I want try on Athlon, if flasher dont work in Athlon I change Mainboard and CPU. Any one know why this problem occur.

my copmputer is an intel 1600Mhz pc.

still no luck ive tried everything.

Mate!

Try checking your CMOS setup that is in your Computer.

LPT setup should be change to EPP - Enhance Parallel Port. Tried it on a several computer here in our country and it worked fine.

NOte: But not on an AMD series computers. Its best on Intel Pentium and Intel Celeron Machines.

Try checking the right f_loader and boot loaders. Boot should be 964 bytes, i have a special loader originally patched by D_bug. He's a great guy. Owh! CHEERS to him.

I recommend its best for you to use the classic Windows 98 Second edition. I have no salutes on the new Windows ME (edition).

on`t lose your time>you have to fast procesor,dieferent chipset and faster performance generaly.I had same problem.Something I resolve by instaling nu2001 and HASP driver,that slovest my lpt port but I still have some problems.One guy say,bay old PC and imagine it like Dejans box.So I do it. read this:http://www.gsmcity.de/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=4&t=001485
