Question Nokia 1100 Security Code

G'day Everyone!
I have a Nokia 1100A which I have forgotten the Security Code. However, I saw in this thread that certain DCT4 models (such as my 1100) do not work with Dejan Kaljevic algorithm. I have entered my phone IMEI into this site (http://nfader.z-host.ru/) and the resulting Security Mastercode did indeed fail as it uses Dejan Kaljevic algo.

Is their some alternate algorithms that is known to generate successful Security Mastercodes for our DCT4 mobiles? What other Code Calcs/Gens programs should I download and try?

MODEL: Nokia 1100A (Trinidad & Tobago)
TYPE: RH-18
IMEI: 353775001755073

UNSUCCESSFUL CODE: 4035054247

PrivMsg for any additional info.

Thanks in advance for any help,
Johann

Red face

Well a few people PM'd me to provide links for 3 different Code Gen programs I could try to get a Security Mastercode for my 1100. The programs were "Haris DCT4 CALC V2.2", "Nokia MasterCode Calculaor v1.0 by elektro255" and "Crux Calculator v5" . Ultimately, neither of them worked. The first two programs were able to generate a Security Mastercode given my IMEI, unfortunately it was the same "4035054247" code generated via Dejan Kaljevic algorithm. The third, Crux Calculator, was an unblocking program and generated no Mastercode.

I was afraid flashing might be the only way to go for my 1100. Down here in this part of the Caribbean, the market for cellular accessaries is not that diverse, and less known, older, low-end models like my 1100 are difficult to find accessaries for.

So given that I dont have immediate access to a data cable, what else can I try? Anything else known to bring an locked 1100 back to life or do I officially now own a Nokia Paperweight(TM)?

Thanks.

Specs again:
MODEL: Nokia 1100A (Trinidad & Tobago)
TYPE: RH-18
IMEI: 353775001755073

None of the public softwares can calculate correct master code for models like:

1100, 2300, 2600 .. etc

Why is this though? Why would Nokia go out of their way to make the low-end phones practically uncrackable (without hardware)?
I'm not all that knowledgeable about cellular tech and generations etc, but what's so special about the 1100, 2300, 2600 etc from the rest of the Nokia lines that make it impossible to generate a Code Gen algo? Or is it just lack of demand for such an algo?

That website (http://nfader.z-host.ru/), which you'll see was mentioned in my first post, uses Dejan Kaljevic algorithm. For some reason (why?), that algorithm is unable to generate Security Mastercodes for certain Nokia DCT4 models, including 1100, 1600, 2300, 2600 .

But hear this...after giving up on reviving my Nokia 1100 I just went out and bought a new Nokia 1600 as I had previously not seen it on the unsupported-by-Dejan-algo list. Low and behold I was playing around setting up my new phone and I somehow managed to accidently change my security code from the default "12345" to some unknown number! At least the new 1600 is allowing me to use the new SIM card it came with. Hoawever when I try to put in my original SIM (from the 1100), it now prompts for a security code! Argh!
If I take my cell to my service provider, will they beable to reset my phone somehow since I bought it just 1 day ago?

Somedays I just hate technology......

UPDATE:-
Oddly enough after giving my phone a rest and an overnight charge, it once again recognizes "12345" as the security code! Bizarre! I don't know what was happening last night that made the 1600 not recognize "12345" as the code. Has this ever happened to anyone? Anyway, given how easy it is to lose/steal a cell, i'm thinking about buying a Nokia 6030 as my second phone. What are the opinions of this model?
