3100 No sound from ear piece, ringer OK - GSM-Forum

Hi, i have a 3100 you cant hear anything when you make a call!! If you click "handsfree" it goes onto the other speaker and u can hear the call.

I have changed the speaker and flashed the phone and reset it, no luck, still the same!!

Does anybody have any ideas what the problem could be, and a solution for it ???

check ASIC (D151), DSP (152) and CODEC (N200)

Checking the component layout, i can only see N100 and N300 no N200 and i cannot find the ASIC (D151), DSP (152).

Could you point me towards where they are please?

Problem solved now, L151 was not correctly seated it had a dry solder joint!

i appreciate the fact that you even replied unlike some people, they simply ignore posts like this, i posted as i did not have time to fault find.
