6230i bluetooth car hands free cant see phonebook
 

Hi, we run a fleet of Renault HGVs and we are having an issue connecting our old 6230i phones to them.

The manufacturer has sent a list of phones that are compatible with them and this is one of those models. The bluetooth connects fine and if we make a call (from the handset) it rings through the truck speakers and we can talk hands-free.

The problem is that, on the steering wheel, there is a green phone button - press this and you get to scroll through your phone book to call someone. However this doesn't work, when you go to the phonebook it says 'not available'. So does the 'Recent Calls' option.

Our modern phones (Samsung Galaxy J5 for example) work perfectly, phone book and everything. But this phone doesn't.

Could anyone help me out with an idea as to why this only half works. The driver will have to pick up the phone and scroll through it manually (and this obviously means they won't be hands-free). Thank you
