8310 in contact service - GSM-Forum

After flashing a 8310 v.580 to unlock it, shows "contact service". I used windct4, and even reflashing it with it's original version remains the f*****g "contact service" message.
Is there any other way to reflash it and update FAID? anyway, what can be the solution?

only reflash you dont afraid it is will working.

First change fia files (Do yo have 5.80 fia file) then upload flash...

Ýf again contact, again flash but only MCU upload after you must see local mode and unlock and repair button.. Ýt is must working..
Use Windct2.0 soft
Ýf want contact me mate...

Thanks m8 I'm gonna test it right now, what I don't know is if I have the latest FIA for this version...How can I know it?. Anyway gonna test it...

Just unlock phone to repair contact service , you might have to plug charger into phone so it switches on , while you have lead connected to it . Some contact service is due to the simlock .

Read old posts... I gave this solution already...

Flash ppm with Windct4, when done your phone stills on "Local Mode", press Repair / Unlock.
All done.

Before post here I did what you say, but I got the message "error in sp command" or "mbus doesn't respond"...

Till this moment I've reflashed it, even downgrading it and no success...maybe I need latest FIA to put it again in it's original 5.8 version...I don't know. I hope you'll help me.

I'v downloaded your page FIA file (2_14) and receive the message "invalid flash descriptor received". The phone still with "contact service". Till this moment I discard that it could be a hardware failure because it worked fine before the first flash...but, who knows, maybe I need a stronger tool than wincdt4, but I don't know any for this moment.
Still looking for the solution m8

You can try E2k Dct4 3.0...

Flash to lower than 5.80.
Flash MCU, then PPM, when PPM done, press Repair / Unlock, or Reset Locks (on E2k).

Same results and same messages. I think I must wait until there's another powerful software like noktools or eeprom tools, but for dct4.

Thanks for your help...taking a little bit of every reply I've finally repaired the 8310. All the problem was due a strange problem between my pc and the windct4 flasher...even with ed2k_2 flasher. That problem made impossible to work properly the flashing and the button unlock/repair giving some different error messages. What I've done (if it serves to another one) is to download the dct4 flasher v.108, reflash with a lower version (5.55) and once flashed and in "local mode" push "set factory default", without power off the phone, start the windct4 and push "unlock/repair" button...and "voilá" the phone resurrects unlocked...As I said before thanks to everyone for your help
