8310 unlock code - GSM-Forum

Hi and help.
Im a bit of a novice at all this. Ive got a nokia 8310 and it only works with an Orange pay-as-you-go sim card, nothing else is accepted. have an o2 sim now and ive tried to enter the pin code as requested by handset but it just goes straight to a screen saying security code. its probably realy simple but i dont have a clue. is it an unlock code i need?

very quick, thank you. ive waited 5 weeks for my ,ate to get a cable and its still not hear.
is it just the last code i need or all of them and do i need to press anything after the last hash or should something happen automatically?sorry to be a little slow

Put in wrong sim card. Switch on.

Enter code 1 first: #pw+832011157052416+1#

It should work. If not, use code 7: #pw+454507270237306+7#

You get p and w by pressing the * button on your phone 3 times quickly and 3 times quickly and the + sign 2 times quickly

iv just put my other O2 contract sim in the 8310 and put my pin code in. that accepted, the next screen says security code and will not allow me to put anything but a number in, no hash or star or nothing, ust comes up "code error". er... what now?

You need to use another service provider sim card like ORANGE, VODAFONE, T-MOBILE, etc., then enter the unlock codes I gave to you.

Does your contract sim have a security code?
Does your phone have a security code?

Enter these codes after unlocking the phone.

Let us know how you get along.

NOTE!!! :- You should not enter the unlock codes more than 5 times

security code still coming up. so i assume thats a phone lock? cuz even with an Orange PAYG SIM I cant put a hash in first, numbers only. its actualy my girlfriends phone and she doesn't know of a phone lock. could too many codes have been put in? i dont think she's tried that many times. what do you recon?

asked my girl last night and guess what? she cant remember! so unfortunatly I dont know. what is the security code? Is there any way around it?

Hi everybody,
First of all, 8310 version 04.04 can not be unlocked by code. I have tried this version many times and the phone doesn't react with or without a sim when you enter the unlock code.

So, mr/mrs delux: try to find an F-bus cable and use free unlocker to unlock your phone, if it asks for the security code try 12345. if it still says wrong security code, in the free dct4 unlocker proggies you have an option which resets the security code to default(12345).
