8800 - "No SIM card inserted" - GSM-Forum

Hi Guys,

Can anyone offer any help with this phone... Just got it in for unlocking and it's coming up with "No SIM card inserted" (when there's a sim in it).

Anyone experienced this or even better know of a fix?

Could anyone tell what the " ic sim (r388)" is that i have to check so that my phone reads that there is a sim card inserted allready please.. with thanks

i have 8800 work for 2 or 3 minutes after that no network and then insert sim. kan u help me for this problem. pleaze

the problem is batery conector.....please see service manual.

How is this possible.
Before unlocking with HWK the phone was working 100%
After unlocking phone gives error no sim inserted

I don't think this is a hardware problem!

i've got this problem "no sim card inserted" issue on my 8800, it would only if i used the class A batt of a 8800's battery, but when i switched it back using the original batt the "no sim card inserted" issue will be gone.

My question is, is there a big difference using the Original Batt and the Class A batt in using it to my 8800, what are they're difference, why the other worked well and the other doesn't? Thanks in advance! More power to you guys!
