8800d sirocco problem urgent - GSM-Forum

Hi

Needed to do a language change today and since the phone was 3.91 and all i found was 4.10 i flashed MCU, PPM and CNT like i have done a thousand times with other nokia's over the years.

Problem is that even though ufs box says that phone is flashed succesfully the phone will not actually take the CNT package.

This result in no themes and no text in the menu's ..well text in menu's are there but only when highlighted. There is nothing in the images, call tones, themes or anything.

Have tried flashing different CNT files. and even tried to flash 8800d mcu and ppm and then a 8800 rm-13 cnt file as suggested by someone on the forum..

Only problem is that no matter what i do i cannot get the menu's working like they should and there is NO call tone or anything.

Anyone seen this problem before ?

I dont have JAF..

Do you think it will help ?? I have read about people using JAF that has the same problem but i have not read a single post with a solution to the problem.. (Except someone that said to flash 8800d main and ppm and ordinary 8800 cnt file but this did not work)..

It would be really great if someone that had the problem and solved it could tell what he/she did to correct the problem.

Alternatively i must buy JAF key ..

I have same problem brother,please HELP ME!!!

Same problem.........as I knoq the problem is that these phones are fake....these are chinese nokias with smaller flash size....that`s why the phone says extracting....OK, but when you power on....the gallery is empty! That`s the problem, but I still don`t know what`s the solution! Friend told me that must write package from 6230i, but don`t know what version is needed. I tried with 3.88 without success! If someone have done with this.....please share.
